Meet Logan
After obtaining his Master of Social Work in 2021, Logan Cornelison began working as a mental health clinician with Southern Live Oak Wellness, a co-occurring residential and partial hospitalization treatment facility in Atlanta, GA. There he specialized in working with mood and thought disorders. Later that year he accepted a job with Vanderbilt's Psychiatric Hospital to become a member of their inpatient social work team engaging with patients in individual and group therapy. In March of 2023 he joined the Young Adult Intensive Outpatient Program, where he facilitated evening group therapy sessions before joining the team at the Osher Center for Integrative Health at Vanderbilt in September of 2024. Soon after, he opened his own private practice.
It’s Nice to Meet You
I grew up in a suburb of Atlanta—a proud graduate of Kennesaw State University. After graduation, my wife and I moved to Nashville for her career in music, where I eventually found my way to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and then my own private practice. When I’m not counseling, I’m likely relaxing on the couch with my assistant (dog) Hazel, catching up on the latest movies, cooking, or playing video games with my wife.
In therapy, I have a passion for working with adults struggling to cope with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, substance abuse, chronic pain/medical issues, and adjustment to difficult life transitions. I believe that every individual has inherent strengths that can be powerful catalysts for positive change—although these can often feel just out of reach when we try to carry our struggles on our own. Through a collaborative and client-centered approach, I work with you to uncover and utilize these strengths to facilitate growth and healing that lasts long after therapy has ended.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and use various therapeutic techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to assist clients in challenging maladaptive beliefs and habits while building a strong foundation for positive, healthy coping.
“Logan's therapeutic approach is both deeply compassionate and highly effective. His ability to create a calm, safe space for clients, combined with his fun and engaging spirit makes him an exceptional therapist!”
